Standards manual pallet racks

Today, almost every country has its own standards of operation of pallet racking and shelving equipment manufacturers association (for example, in the UK it is SEMA). More than 10 years ago, the Federation of European manufacturers (shelf equipment department) recommended the use of standards for the design and operation of the racks. Pallet racking FEM 10.2.02. – Standard design and FEM 10.3.01 – tolerance components.

In Russia, production and operation of pallet racks regulate the following standards:
– GOST 14757_81 Ctellazhi collapsible. Types, basic parameters and dimensions (with a change in N 1, 2) – Resolution of the State Standard of the USSR from 10.07.1981 N 3323
– Standard of 10.07.1981 N 14757-81;
– GOST 16140_77 Shelves collapsible. Specifications of the USSR State Standard Resolution dated 28.10.1977 N 2528 GOST from 28.10.1977 N 16140-77;
– GOST 28766_90 Racks. Bases of calculation – Resolution of the State Standard of the USSR from 03.12.1990 N 3007 GOST from 03.12.1990 N 28766-90.

However, the listed standards do not apply to special purpose racks. This means that the production and supply of pallet racks can be carried out on the basis of its own technical conditions, without complying with the requirements of the above regulations.

Here is the GOST 16140-77 for the production and operation of the collapsible shelves.

5. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

5.1. To verify compliance with the requirements of this standard shelving the manufacturer must carry out acceptance testing and periodic testing.

5.2. At the acceptance tests for compliance with the requirements of paragraphs. 2.1-2.14 should be checked assembly units in the details of each type of shelving, taken at random in the quantity required for the assembly of three-section of the stack.

5.3. Periodic tests for compliance with the requirements of paragraphs. 2.1-2.14 should be carried out once a year. The periodic tests are subjected to assembly units and details of each type of shelving, taken at random in the quantity required for the assembly of three-section of the stack and passed acceptance tests.

5.4. The results of acceptance tests reflect a passport on a rack.

periodic test results registered in the minutes in accordance with GOST 15.001-88.

6. TEST METHODS

6.1. The quality of the protective coating materials and surfaces of parts racks (Nos. 2.6 and 2.12) is checked by inspection.

6.2. The quality of welded joints (Nos. 2.8 and 2.9) is checked according to GOST 3242-79.

6.3. When testing the strength and stability of the vertical and horizontal loads (para. 2.14) rack, which has all the elements provided for working drawings, collected from three sections and is subjected to, the effects of static loads. shelving support should have a rigid connection to the base secured to the floor.

6.4. When the vertical load test (see. Fig. 3, 4) to each cell stack through rigid beams length in applied load

2qB = 1,25Q,

where q – the intensity of the load distribution;

Q – permissible load cell in accordance with GOST 14757-81.

The load on the rack – 1,25 Qn, where n – the number of cells in the stack.

Load Duration – 10 min.

After removing the vertical load produced horizontal static load test (see. Fig. 5, 6). At point B / H 2 at a height of one shelf end sections via a fixed length timber V is applied for 10 minutes in a horizontal load of P = Q / 2

Then measure the perpendicularity rack shelf to the horizontal plane and the load P is removed. Thereafter, through a rigid beam length L for 10 min load P applied at the point L / 2 of the same section, measured perpendicularity racks rack sections to the horizontal plane P and the load is removed.
